"Wings
to Freedom" Wins 2008 Founder's Award |
The
Hamsa Yoga Sangh is proud to announce that Yogiraj has been
named winner of the 2008 Founder's Award of the American
Author's Association, their highest annual award. An award
ceremony will be held during Yogiraj's tour with AAA founder
Bill McDonald. Below is a
personal letter from Mr. McDonald about his experience reading
and reviewing "Wings
to Freedom" which you might find interesting.
A limited edition print of the newly revised edition of Wings
to Freedom was commissioned by the Hamsa Yoga Sangh to commemorate
the receipt of this award, and will be available at all of
Yogiraj's live events this summer. Yogiraj will be signing
these while supplies last.
A Personal Message from the Founder of The American
Author’s
Association:
"As Founder and President Emeritus of the American
Author’s Association, I personally review more than 400 books
a year, and I go on to evaluate many of them for awards. I
also sift through nearly 1,000 books a year that don’t meet
my standards for consideration. Despite my nearly continual
contact with books, I almost never write personal endorsements.
Today, I'm making an exception.
'Wings to Freedom,' by Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath is not just
inspirational. It’s transformational. The author’s yogic wisdom
and extraordinary life stories are more powerful than anything
I've ever read before. This is, quite literally,
a once-in-a-lifetime book. I sincerely believe that it’s destined to impact the
spiritual growth of our world.
The book is not watered down for the mass market.
As a result, many readers will not be able to appreciate the wisdom within its
pages. This is not a book for the spiritually lazy, or for readers whose minds
and hearts are closed.
‘Wings to Freedom’ is one of those rare books that cannot be digested in large
gulps. The reader must pause at intervals to ponder the true meaning of the messages,
and to discover truths that run deeper than words on a page.
There is a profound
energy that flows from Gurunath’s writing. His words affect
the reader like some sort of energy transmission. The simple act of reading this
book energized me, both physically and spiritually at levels that I don’t understand,
and may never fully comprehend. I am completely confident that other readers
will have experiences every bit as profound as my own.
I thought I knew something
about yoga and spiritual matters. After reading ‘Wings
to Freedom,’ I realized that all my decades of spiritual searching have taught
me absolutely nothing. Gurunath is more than an author, and much more than a
teacher. He is a self-realized master yogi and a man of God. He tries to suppress
his spiritual light and greatness with his humility, but there is no hiding the
angelic radiance that he generates. The reader senses that this man knows God
on a very personal level!
I am putting my personal and professional reputation
on the line, by giving this book and this author my fullest endorsement and backing.
I cannot say enough about the power and wisdom of this extraordinary man and
his book.
I am asking all bookstores and members of the media to give this book
and author the attention they deserve. You have the opportunity to reveal this
book to the public before they discover it for themselves. And believe me, they
will discover it. Nothing this amazing can remain hidden for long.
‘Wings to Freedom’ recently won the American Author Association’s highest honor:
the Founder’s Award for 2008. Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath and his book are richly
deserving of the award.
This book is destined to be read by spiritual seekers
for many future generations. Not since ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’ have we seen
a spiritual classic of this magnitude.
This is book is truly beyond compare. It is a signpost on the pathway to self-realization. It is an absolute must-read book for all serious seekers of truth and inner peace."

Upcoming
Hamsa Yoga Events |
Yogiraj's
2009 worldwide tour has begun and there are loads of events
to talk about. We also have an unprecedented amount of
events hosted by our Hamsacharyas (authorized
teachers) to mention. Read
on!
This
weekend Yogiraj will be in Chandigarh giving
a Livingness Camp Friday through Sunday. It's not too late
to sign up but you must contact
Jyoti Subramanian as soon as
possible to register. Don't miss out on your last
chance to see Yogiraj in northern India this year!
After only a short break, Yogiraj will begin his
2009
European tour from late May into early July. May 29-31
Yogiraj will be starting off with a 3-day weekend retreat
in London with more events in the area
the following weekend. The following two weekends will
be held in Italy, also starting
off with a 3-day retreat June 12-14. Just after Italy,
Yogiraj is scheduled for his first visit to The
Netherlands this year in late
June. The tour concludes after a 2-day retreat in Berlin July
4 & 5. See
our website for more information on these events
as well as registration forms and contact information for
the retreats.
Yogiraj will then be heading directly for
the
US summer tour starting off this year in Encinitas
July 11. The next two weekends Yogiraj will be in the
greater Los Angeles area before heading
north for three full weekends in the San Francisco
Bay Area. And September will see two of our three
USA
New Life Awakening Retreats. The first will be held
Sep 5-7 in Los Angeles and another outside
of Portland from the

outside of Santa Cruz. See
our website for more details on
these events. It's going to be another great summer!
Last but not least, our Hamsacharyas are getting busy helping
to teach the sacred practices of Kundalini
Kriya Yoga and
Yogiraj's techniques of Hamsa
Yoga on his behalf. Learning
the techniques before Yogiraj arrives is a great way to
prepare yourself for the physical presence and initiation
of the Master. Southern California residents have a list
of ongoing classes that can be seen on our new
So
Cal events calendar. Also, Senior Hamsacharya Yaniv
Cohen is traveling between coasts and making many stops
along the way to teach in states such as New
Mexico,
Colorado, Texas, North
Carolina during the month of April and will be
visiting Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia and New
York in the month of May. Stay tuned to our website
schedule for these and many more teaching events to

YouTube
Video of the Month |
As
you may have noticed, our YouTube channel has been recently
updated with some new videos.
This month's video, taken during the 2008 summer tour in
Los Angeles, is a fascinating exposition into the true meaning
of the word "Guru". Yogiraj gives a clear
and in-depth explanation of this ancient Sanskrit term so
widely misunderstood in today's society.
Watch
the video here.
As always, this video and many more are all available on our YouTube
channel.

Personal
Experiences |
This month we'd like to share a short but sweet testimonial
submitted to us late last year:
"I have not yet been in the physical presence of
Yogiraj, but have felt a profound love and recognition and joy in
having found him for some time. Numerous times I have sought
connection with him on the inner planes and every time the experience
grows more rewarding. I have begun to ask for transmission in the
dream state, and have felt an exquisite shift on multiple levels and
write to you now simply as affirmation of my gratitude for his service
and or his willingness to work with us in the West. I thank all of you
who serve and work with him as well; you uplift this world in ways you
may not realize."
-- Victoria Emory
Once again, we'd like to invite you all to share your
experiences or testimonials, either concerning Yogiraj or
your practice of Kundalini
Kriya Yoga. If you have an inspiring
story or tidbit that you would like to share, send
us an email and please let us know if you prefer to remain
anonymous.
